'Dot OM' sound circles are a different way to get connected!! Drop in and journey inward on the soundscape of crystal and Himalayan singing bowls and other sound healing instruments. Let your body relax, your mind become quiet and see where the sound takes you. We will gather, open the circle in ritual and then open the voice with simple mantra chanting. The sound bath itself will last approximately 45 mins with a short amount of time at the end for silent integration. All in all, between 1 hour 15 mins and 1 hour 30 mins for the whole session. Yoga mats are provided and its recommended that you bring plenty of things to make yourself comfortable, cosy and warm - your favourite blanket, warm socks, a pillow or cushion, an eye pillow or mask and some water. Please arrive promptly for the start time to get yourself set up and comfy. The sound session will last approximately 45 mins with a short amount of time at the start to settle in and at the end for silent integration, so around an hour, maybe a little more. Contraindications: Sound healing is not advised for anyone with hearing impairments or any condition that effects the hearing, vertigo, epilepsy, metal plates in the body or pacemakers. It is also sometimes advised against during pregnancy, specifically the first and third trimester due to the power for sound to travel more through water although there are no studies to show any detrimental effects to the mother or baby. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure that sound healing is appropriate for you. It is your own responsibility to determine your suitability for sound healing and your participation in the event. Please disclose any concerns you might have before the event by email or in person before the start. The Venue: The Wild Sanctuary is located just beyond the Cows and Sows cafe in Idless Woods. If coming from Truro direction - once you reach Cows & Sows, continue on the narrow lane on the left of the building until you see signs for the Wild Sanctuary carpark on the right. If coming from A30 direction - The sat nav will take you straight to us, but may take you down a narrow lane so if you are a nervous driver or have a large vehicle, follow directions to Idless woods carpark but continue on the road from that entrance (NOT in Idless woods itself). You'll see signs on your right for the carpark. Park up immediately here and walk the short track until you see the yurt on the right-hand side -you can't miss it!
