A quarter or pocket mala has 27 beads and make a great inexpensive aid to your meditation and chanting practice, also acting like crystal comforter, to have and hold in your pocket if you like to have something to fidget with! 
 
A quarter mala can be used like a full length mala - just go around the mala 4 times to make up the 108 recitations which is traditional for a chanting practice. Or they are ideal for using with a longer mantra and breaking up your practice into shorter sessions.

RIVERSTONE (aka fossilstone, creamy)
Riverstone is made from the fossilised material of a riverbed. It therefore holds the energy of water and earth. It can be soothing, gentle, stabilising and calming, or it can be an accelerator of change, sweeping away anything in its path with great power and ease. It is easily programmable, as water is, so it is important to imprint it with an intention to give it direction. It will easily imprint with the energy of any mantra that you use it for. It is versatile and full of wisdom, holding the frequency of ancient earth in its structure too.
 
LAVA STONE (black, dimpled and holed texture)
Lava stone is formed from molten lava so holds the energy of fire and also earth. Having this fiery quality means it is a great ally in cleansing, assisting in change, dealing with stress and bringing clarity. It also is a stone of earth elemental energy, grounding us and helping us to feel supported and empowered.
